Ce second volume de l’Anthologie des \u00e9pithalames burundais rassemble les transcriptions musicales des soixante-quatre chants de mariage pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s et traduits par Barbara Ndimurukundo-Kururu<\/strong> dans le premier volume. Purs joyaux de l’oralit\u00e9, les \u00e9pithalames offrent une remarquable synth\u00e8se de l’art vocal burundais en empruntant \u00e0 tous les genres et \u00e0 tous les styles de la tradition. Ils composent une vibrante parure de chants et de danses qui accompagne et relate les sept \u00e9tapes de ce jour de f\u00eate extr\u00eamement codifi\u00e9. Ils s’associent tout particuli\u00e8rement aux \u00e9tats d’\u00e2me de la mari\u00e9e dont ils expriment les joies comme les peines, la lucidit\u00e9 souvent am\u00e8re devant la nouvelle condition promise et son acceptation r\u00e9sign\u00e9e. Les partitions sont assorties d’analyses et de commentaires qui approfondissent notre connaissance du syst\u00e8me musical en vigueur et qui nous \u00e9clairent sur la relation \u00e9troite qu’entretiennent la langue kirundi, la parole et le chant dans la tradition burundaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
